質素與價錢不成正比的茶樓

肥A和大D拿升了職,請同事食飯.我們book了星光行翠園飲茶.這一餐茶...唉...看看肥A寫的投訴email吧!

1. Staff not clear about promotion's validity, I asked if there's dim sum lunch set during booking by phone, the answer was 'Yes'. However, when we sat down and couldn't find the list, another waiter told us temporary suspended as it's near Lunar New Year. I booked the table on Fri for Mon's lunch.

2. We handed in dim sum order twice and 3 dim sum styles (not from same sheet) missed which we cancelled at the end. Missed items were charged and it took over 15 mins to re-generate the correct bill.

3. Food quality not proportional to its price.

  • BBQ pork puff - overcook with burnt surface and without BBQ pork taste.
  • Shrimp dumpling - shrimp piece + fat + bamboo shoot within, use to be a whole shrimp. The worst is the wrapping skin, too sticky and collapsed during pick up.
  • Fried bombay duck with spicy salt - looks like deep fried chicken knee and each with approx. 2 inches long. Once again, those are fried beyond done.
  • Smoked vegetarian goose - the worst among all dishes, smell and taste like being smoked with whole pack of 'Marlboro'. This dish had been deducted finally.
  • Fried taro dumpling - not fresh, no crispy surface, stuffing too salty.
  • Fried glutinous dumpling - we didn't order this, but we saw whole dish was left over at table next to us, the color is in pale grey?!
  • Fried chicken paw - too salty

4. The bill cost us HK$1,089.40 which is approx. HK$ 90.00 per pax, we had less 15% discount already. Compare to competitors, this is too high for lunch. We went to Golden Island Chiu Chow Restaurant with 19 pax, similar dim sum styles, bill was only HK$ 1,500.00 and they had charge for tea & preserved vegetable separately.

5. Rice vermicelli with geoduck in XO sauce - best taste of all which cost HK$98.00 per dish

6. Good remind call on Mon morning.

We do understand and willing to pay more during Lunar New Year period, however not with decline quality.
